Title: Imagine
Topic: Millennium
Introduction:
Could you imagine a place?
Could you imagine a place where there is no sorrow?
No worries, No pain, No sorrows, No death
No killing, No stealing, No war, No hunger
NO, No, No
Only total happiness.
Could you imagine?
John Lennon, one of the member of the Beetles in the 60s and 70s, wrote the song “Imagine”-
Before he was tragically gunned down on a cold NY side walk he penned these words:
“Imagine all the people living life in peace” In a song that expressed the hope of generation probably his most remembered work Imagine- Listen to his words: “Imagine there's no heaven, it's easy if you try (But there is a Heaven)
No hell below us, above us only sky Imagine all the people living for today. Imagine there's no countries, it isn't hard to do. Nothing to kill or die for, and no religion, too Imagine all the people living life in peace. Ah, you may say I'm a dreamer But I'm not the only one I hope someday you'll join us, and the world will be as one. Imagine no possessions, I wonder if you can No need for greed or hunger A brotherhood of man, imagine all the people sharing all the world. You may say I'm a dreamer, but I'm not the only one I hope someday you'll join us, and the world will live as one.” This imagination is totally off. This will never happen in this world. This world is getting worse due to sin.
We need to imagine something better than this world.
But some of us have been suffering so long that we cannot even imagine a better world.
Work has beaten us.
Family has forsaken us.
Church has revealed us.
And friends has abandoned us,
But remember God has not left us.
However, a better place awaits us…
Jesus comforted us by saying:
John14:1-4
What is this place called?
Some believe it is a state of mind- utopia, novena, and ecstasy.
Most religion regard it has a place, hover they believe it can be reached by:-
Works, penance, deeds, or rituals.
Still other believe we will obtain this is an afterlife,
And others might seek it here on earth.
This place is called heaven.
One dictionary describes it has; any place of complete delight, bliss, and peace.
But this is not so.
It is the dwelling place of God.
Isaiah 42:5
This is the place God presides.
Deuteronomy 26:15
But even so-The heaven cannot contain Him.
1 Kings 8:27
This is the place Lucifer was cans out of
Isaiah 14:12
This is the place we are going to, Heaven, it is our inheritance.
Matthew 25: 31-38
Is it a dream?
Other might feel that there is no such place and that we as Christian are dreamers.
2 Corinthians 5:1-3
So my dear friends if God says it I believe it?

Do we need to take anything there?
No. We will need to take nothing from this world to there.
Everything for our need will be provided for us there.
Job said naked I came into this world naked I will return.
Job 1:20-21
What will happen when Jesus returns?
The Advent of Jesus will truly be a jubilee for Christians. Our long awaited king has returned. It will be the first resurrection of the dead in Christ as well as the living in Christ.
He will take us back to live with him for 1,000 years in heaven.
I Thess. 4:15- 18
How long will we be there?
WE will be there at the first resurrection and we will spend 1,000 years there. This is referred to as the Millennium.
Revelation 20:4-6
When will we know that the time is near?
Watch brother and sister, we know the time is near when we see the wickedness of mankind has reached to a point that God cannot take is any more.
So as it was in the days of Noah, So shall it be in the end.
Wickedness by the devil will be prevalent-
II Thess. 2:6-11
No one will be able to stand their ground at that time-
Revelation 6:15-17
What happen during the 1,000 years?
First the devil will be bound in the Abyss.
Revelation 20:1-3
Secondly, we will be judging the world. The saints will be reviewing the book of life and looking over our records as well as others.
Revelation 20:4-6

Why is the Millennium necessary?
God has to show us that He was just in his final decision to get rid of sin.
God also has to show us that He gave our love one enough time to repent and their own decision sealed their doom.
God has to also show what we did in live and how we accepted the gift of his son , Jesus Christ, through grace which was counted towards us, even though we did not deserve it.
God has to show that He was and is JUST-
2 Thessalonians 1:4-6
What about the rapture?
Some scholars confuse Matthew 24:40-41
with 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18
This is what they call the rapture. This is really the Saint that are alive in Christ be taken up and the remaining are the wicked who will die and await the second death, after the millennium. They will not be anyone alive here on earth. No one will be alive on earth during the 1,000 years.
When the Son of Man returns, a series of incidents will accrue.
Matthew 24: 30-44 explains.
At the end of the Millennium, what happens?
Revelation 20:7-15
After the Millennium -The New Heaven and New Earth

Appeal:
How do we get there?
Do we need these steps to achieve this world?
Some uses drugs to get there, believing we can get there while still on earth.
Some pretend that this place is somewhere on earth and they just need to get there to achieve all their happiness.
We need only choose Jesus Christ
